long time no blog

woah. it's been a while. busy as a bee (or two ;)) around here lately. ..just wanted to pop in and say there will be photos of the current happs coming soooon!! busy busy this week with sewing, crocheting, embroidering, and making decorations for our new guest quarters. super excited because we have several guests coming this Autumn. cannot wait to see them, hug their necks, bake for them, and of course CREATE with them! exciting!!

July feelin' more like... September??

lately the days have been cool. reminds me of Autumn.. which I don't really mind since that is my favorite season. but since I love each season for what it has to offer, too much of this coolness in Summer gets old. ha. ..so I'm ready for some more hot hot days!! ..I want to swim!! in an outdoor, in-ground pool. just looked at one of my favorite blogs, and she has photos of her by her pool. how I miss the days when Summer was doing nothing but SWIM all day. (okay, not really.. since I love my go go go life and wouldn't trade it for anything.. but I do love some swim time!)

in other news...
been busy with more book illustrating. so much fun! never dreamed I would do this. but it exciting and stretching, for sure. here's the first one, listed on Amazon... I'm Gonna' Bee

in the very.. very.. VERY early stages of pre-production for two more films that I am costuming. getting lots of ideas. thinking of material and styles that I want to go with. it's eeeearly, but so fun. I'm so ready to kick into it full-swing.. but there are a few Summer projects that need finished up first. all in good time, Candice. patience is a virtue. :) ..have met a few people who are very interested in being involved in some of the future projects. always so, so blessed by those I am connected with on this amazing journey!!

looooovin' soo much new music right now. United, Owl City, Mat Kearney, The Wedding, MuteMath.. gaah. I am engulfed in so much goodness through these artists -- it's super inspiring.

have some snail-mail to reply to, some emails to compose (ha!), and a guest to entertain, so I must be going. ..I hope that each reader is enjoying life and living to the fullness. make the most of each MOMENT in each DAY we are given.

garden is oh so happy right now. had a little help a few days ago -- sooooo cute. :) picked my first green beans day before yesterday (and a few more yesterday). not enough to feed very many... but they are DELICIOUS right off the stalk. I'm pleased. :)

this wonderful weekend.

the subject pretty much sums it up. wonderful is what it has been.. tho I have eaten way too much yummy food (time for a walk? a few more times up the steps?!). our 4th celebration was so much fun.. for all.



just came in from the garden. everything looks GREAT.. except the spinach. I don't know why... it just looks small and a bit yellowish. perhaps too much water? not enough? I need to look at my 'vegetable & herb expert' book.. again, ha. everything ELSE is pleasing tho. picked my first zucchini today (photo above).. two more are growing and should be ready within the next few days to make something yummy (depending on what we're in the mood for.. once this happens). just gotta' keep that ground hog away. he is cute. and is just doing what comes natural. but it is SUPER annoying to walk outside and see my plants with missing parts. needless to say, I have been praying he will find somewhere else to eat. :)

today has been a bit out of sorts. sometimes Sunday is like that. not sure what to do. perhaps I should work on my dress? more granny squares? study designs? CW patterns? just simply read? ..see where I'm coming from?! I do have an unfinished shirt (that'll only take about 5 minutes to complete) that I may finish. but after that... hmmm.

whatever the case, it will be a lovely day, for sure. ..hope all our readers are doing well.
